Dr. Javier Calero Cuervo was a Licensed Real Estate Broker (1984) and Real Estate Appraiser (1994) in the Philippines. He was the top performer in the Real Estate Appraiser examination given in February 1994 by the government in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. Javier joined CAI in April 1984 as Researcher for special projects.
He received the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree on 18 March 2003 from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also completed Master of Science (M.Sc. in Real Estate) at NUS in 1997 and a Master of Science (M.Sc. in Industrial Economics) from the Center for Research and Communication (now the University of Asia & the Pacific) in 1988.
He has authored/co-authored in various international refereed journals such as in Journal of Property Investment & Finance, The International Journal of Urban Policy and Planning (CITIES), Construction Management and Economics, and Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management; and book chapters, such as in 2001, Singapore: Containing the Real Estate Boom.
