On November 5 to 7 2025, Liberty Año, Cuervo Appraiser’s Vice-President and General Manager, attended the 27th Congress of the ASEAN Valuers Association which was held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand with the theme “Valuation Challenges: Innovating with Technology”. The Congress addressed the need to adapt with technological advancement and new market demand for valuation standards and practices. In addition, Ms. Año represented the Institute of Philippine Real Estate Appraisers (IPREA) and participated in the roundtable discussions.
The ASEAN Valuers Association was constituted in June 1981 and currently has eight member countries, namely Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. A congress and general assembly are held annually and are rotated among the country members.
This congress is a valuable platform for professional networking, collaboration, and fostering lasting connections. The AVA Congress program included in-depth scientific sessions, interactive workshops, and various social functions to provide ample opportunities to exchange ideas and explore potential collaboration.
